Now, onto the serious kit, the SGR 12. It’s no mug, this one. It’s got the presence, like a proper bruiser of a shotgun. Semi-automatic, and it’s packing a magazine that looks the business. Proper realistic, like 12-gauge shotgun shells, all visible through a neat acrylic window.

Magazine’s a solid piece, feels substantial. It’s a mid-cap, but it doesn’t muck about – holds a decent amount, but you might wanna get your hands on a couple more, just so you’re not caught short during the action.

We’re talking everything – from the aluminium chassis to the bolt, right down to the magazine spring. Every detail, every part, all there. Props to Silverback on this one – absolute game changer.

Tearing into the box (with Silverback’s own branded sealing tape, mind you), the contents were snugly held in what I’d describe as compressed cardboard moulds, reminiscent of egg cartons.
